So we all know that second hand smoke is a killer. I saw a billboard the other day that made me pretty upset-here in Berkeley we have a walk to raise money for lung cancer. I talked to some people about it and found out that lung cancer is actually one of the more difficult cancer’s to raise money for beacuse most people think that everyone who gets the disease, smoked or did something else which they should not have been doing.
Frankly that isn’t the case and even if it were-do we really not want to help any of those people? If our society allows people to both make mistakes and eventually be forgiven, shouldn’t we have room in our society to do the same for smokers?
